After an email from a reader, I decided to try and add a Subscribe by Email feature. I’d thought of it before, but hadn’t ever taken action on it.

Now there’s a link near the bottom of the right sidebar for you to subscribe to posts on this blog by email. Just click the subscribe by email link and enter your information.

So far, everything looks like it’s working correctly, but if you have problems with it, feel free to let me know and I’ll do what I can.

New Bracelet Design

May 7, 2009 at 8:55 am in New Designs

This is my latest design – Springtime Hope. I love the butterflies and pastels in it. I designed it for a Virtual Spa Weekend over at the Inner Beauty Girlz blog.

Here is the description of the bracelet from my jewelry website:

The Springtime Hope bracelet is a gorgeous reminder of the hope every woman can still have even while going through infertility. It has genuine Swarovski crystal beads in four pastel colors and solid white Czech druk beads. All silver used in the bracelet is solid sterling silver. The bracelet fastens with a small toggle clasp, which may vary slightly than the one shown due to availability at the time of ordering. The Springtime Hope bracelet is available in lengths of 6 to 9 inches.

Coupons – personal best

May 5, 2009 at 4:13 pm in Coupons,Frugality

Since today was the last day of Harris Teeter’s triple coupons, I decided to stop in and see if anything was in stock. The other day there was hardly anything on my coupon list that was in stock, but today there was a good bit of the things I had been wanting to get.

I just blinked at the total when the cashier stopped entering coupons. Total due: $1.45. Wow. I’d expected it to be pretty low because I didn’t buy a whole lot, but this was far better than I expected.

For that $1.45, I bought:
3 boxes Huggies baby wipes (used a rain check from the last time they were on sale)
2 bags Grande tortilla chips
5 packets Ortega fajita seasoning
1 Suave deodorant

Those three tubs of baby wipes were worth the trip alone. And to be honest, they were my main reason for stopping in the store.

But getting so many items for so little – that was a real blessing.

Here are a few pictures from this past week. It was hard to narrow it down!

Grammy and Poppy took the boys to the park twice while they were here. Here are some pictures from those trips:

What a week!

May 2, 2009 at 11:00 am in Slice of Life

My parents and grandmother just left for home – they drove over 800 miles to come visit us for a week. This week was an absolute whirlwind, but lovely.

Now they’re gone and we’re attempting to get back to our normal schedule. The house seems eerily quiet now.

I’ve enjoyed this week, but it’s been really busy with extra people in the house. Then on Wednesday, I started getting sick. I’m still not sure if it’s a cold or allergies. You can hear it in my voice the most – what little voice there is left. I’ll miss them, but at the moment am grateful for the chance to rest my voice a bit!

Maybe in the next few days I’ll get a chance to post a few pictures of our crazy week. My dad took some great ones! :O)
